CZ Hackers Versus NPPA - Part I

Or how did Leonard Peltier's case become known in the Czech Republic

NOTE: the "bad guy" in my following story is the same special FBI agent Ed Woods, who is #2 on the list of persons recently sued by Leonard Peltier in his lawsuit against FBI.

On Saturday's night of July 19, 2000 I gained a new and very peculiar experience. An actually "unwelcome" visitor showed up on my chat at my former English website and the story of Czech hackers versus No Parole Peltier Association created and supported by FBI agents has begun. As a consequence of this story the awareness on Peltier's case started to spread among Czech people, especially young Czechs joined international efforts for Leonard's liberation...

Actually, this story started two months before the above mentioned date, when I accidentally surfed into the site of the No Parole Peltier Association (NPPA) where I read the most incredible and primitive lies about Peltier's case ever found. For those who never heard about him I remind that Leonard Peltier is a Native American sentenced 25 years ago for participation in a murder of two FBI agents committed on the territory of Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. In 1981 were his lawyers authorized to get acknowledged with FBI classified files on their client (they had received this authorization thanks to Freedom of Information Act). Files revealed that the evidence submitted by the FBI during the trial was faked and that witnesses falsely testified against Peltier under pressure and threats of FBI agents. In spite of these revelations, Leonard Peltier is still in prison. Each time when a decision on Peltier's release is about being taken a group of well-determined and organized FBI agents prepares a counterattack. I remember how already in mid-90s these people paid for full-page advertisements spitting slanders on Peltier in US daily press, and they did it last year again. The FBI pretended not to have anything in common with those activities and said that the agents acted without any official support from its side (most of US tax payers wouldn't give a dam for Indians but definitely wouldn't appreciate such a wasting of their tax money). Those agents can't accept the idea of Peltier's release, they believe that deaths of their colleagues have to be revenged at any price, no matter if their victim is innocent! I am not trying to pretend that all Mulder's and Scully's colleagues are fascists and primitive racists, but you could certainly find this kind of people in this institution as well as in any other institutions of this kind around the world. And I had got the dubious privilege to meet an exemplary of this kind myself.

I had left several poisonous postings in the NPPA guestbook, saying that their site reminds me the propaganda of the former Communist secret police STB (it was the Czech equivalent of the former Soviet KGB) and announcing them with a great pleasure that since my article about Leonard's case had been posted on Czech web, people from my country were signing the petition calling for his release. I wrote there that their pages full of lies inspired me to write that article, I signed with my name and left the address of my website, including a new sub-web in Czech dedicated to Leonard Peltier. "Anonymous Surfers" on the NPPA site played back in their postings and that mutual tickling was becoming quite a funny amusement. But on the above mentioned night it turned into something very different. Right after one of my toxic postings in the NPPA's shamebook (or joke-book as Wild Horse named it :o)) a visitor showed up on my English site. I had a chat facility installed on it and on my chat software I could see that he (or her) was coming from my Czech site and it seemed to me very strange as the time was almost 5 A.M. Therefore, pushed by curiosity I asked the visitor to chat with me, the visitor accepted and you can enjoy the result by yourselves. Answers and questions are not always in the right order due to the low performance of phone lines:

Bushka: Hi, do you speak English?
Visitor: yes i do
Bushka: So what were you doing on my Czech site???
Visitor: followed a link from the No Parole Peltier Site
Bushka: Are you from the FBI?
Visitor: no
Visitor: just a concerned us citizen
Bushka: How concerned?
Visitor: concerned that a convicted murderer such as Leonard Peltier would ever see the light of day again
Visitor: and curious as to why you would even think that a Czech vote would make a lick of differendce in whether he gains clemency or not
Bushka: Ha, ha, you are one of those funny people posting on the NPPA shame-site?
Visitor: no i don't post there
Visitor: and it's sad that you think the issue is funny
Bushka: You should, with your opinions you would be in the right company!
Visitor: don't you have enough problem in your OWN country to worry about ours?
Bushka: Have you ever heard about globalization?
Visitor: of course
Bushka: World is too small to hide such an injustice like Peltier's case
Visitor: it's not hidden - the LPDC is just being challanged for the first time in a public forum
Visitor: but there are many petitions being circulated by other organizations NOT on the web to prevent clemency that the LPDC is not even aware of
Bushka: If the USA want to play the role of the World Cop watching over the human rights, it should sweep the crap on its own doorstep!
Bushka: It is a Czech saying
Visitor: well the soviets let their own drown because they wouldn't ask for our help
Visitor: go figure
Bushka: Don't mix the submarine in this
Visitor: you get "involved" in our problems
Visitor: why shouldn't we get involved in YOURS?
Visitor: take care of your own first
Visitor: before you meddle in others
Bushka: This is about Peltier and people like him, who you treat like a piece of shit!
Visitor: you have a lot worse problems than we do
Visitor: peltier is a CONVICTED murderer who just happens to be a native american
Bushka: Are you threatening me???
Visitor: it has NOTHING to do with his nationality
Visitor: i don't threaten - i only speak the truth
Bushka: Listen, you little skunk, I wasn't afraid of the STB, I am not afraid of you neither!
Visitor: you're typical of a peltier supporter
Visitor: name calling
Bushka: And I know who you are because I can see yr ID on my software.
Visitor: not willing to listen
Visitor: not a problem for me
Visitor: does debate threaten you?
Bushka: You have been here already before, right after my first love letter to yr sweet guestbook
Visitor: i have visited your site before, yes
Visitor: as other sites that have been left in the guestbook
Visitor: i assume that's why you left it there to begin with
Bushka: So, don't you have a better thing to do than stink on my site?
Visitor: just as you "stink" on the NPPA site?
Visitor: no i just happen to be bored right now
Bushka: You are one of those FBI paid people who organize that abject place on the web
Visitor: and you really need to learn better english - you say you are an excellent interpreter - you aren't
Visitor: i have no affiliation with the FBI
Bushka: So nobody is keeping you here. People like you are not at all welcome here!
Visitor: am simply a US citizen
Visitor: the truth threatens you?
Bushka: Ha, ha
Visitor: obviously it does
Visitor: you have not a clue what a democratic society is all about
Bushka: No, but if you were a little intelligent you would know that it is almost 5 A.M. here
Visitor: but yet you sit in judgement
Visitor: like i care what time it is there
Visitor: would wonder why someone would be so stupid as to be on their computer at 5 am
Bushka: My English? I would like to see you speaking as good Czech as is my English
Visitor: not interested in learning Czech
Visitor: no need to learn
Visitor: no desire to learn
Bushka: You are simply an idiot
Visitor: far from it
Bushka: Every of yr words show it
Visitor: but if it makes you feel more powerful to call names - by all means go for it
Visitor: name calling is cheap
Visitor: and cowardly
Bushka: No, I just hope that you will leave this site and never come back
Visitor: oh i'll come back if only to bug you
Bushka: I don't have time to waste with yr kind, bye
Visitor: its been a pleasure Bushka
Visitor: lol

I copied the chat session and the ID of his computer (cvg-165-102-232.cinci.rr.com) after that idiot had left and sent it to a Native American friend who fights with this kind of people for many years already. A reply arrived immediately, saying that agent Ed Woods and webmaster of the NPPA site - Sue VeldKamp, both live in Cincinnati.

So, Mulder and Scully ....? My friends know their adversaries very well after all those years, they were fighting against them. They were used to bother and threaten Native Americans on the US ground with impunity, but now they dared to do the same thing abroad!

How could I comment it all? For instance that the LPDC exists already for long years and that during its existence it organized many petitions and actions supporting Leonard Peltier. That there has actually been a petition against Peltier's release on the NPPA's site (the author was nobody else but my "darling" Ed Woods) accounting on August 25, 2000 the tristful number of 72 signatures (after having mentioned this ridiculous number in their shamebook, the number miraculously increased to 93 within 24 hours to stop at 255 in the moment of its removal at the beginning of September). They had probably forgotten having a petition on-line - that's only another evidence of their asininity and incompetence. While the online petition calling for the release of Leonard Peltier written by Wild Horse, a Cherokee, and supported by his Native American brothers has already exceeded 7900 signatures (the signature number 7000 was quite symbolically from Czech Republic). That in the USA, all important organizations are on the web. That Czech Republic is not and has never been part of Russia. That the accusation party itself later on admitted not knowing who actually did shoot those two agents. That when I get bored in a website, I don't hang around. That agent Ed Woods or Sue VeldKamp shouldn't lie and deny their employer. That I know many people who sit at their computer still at 5 A.M. and are not at any case stupid. That anybody would have difficulties to speak a foreign language correctly at this hour. That the proud declaration of my visitor about having no need to learn is just the evidence of an absolute hollowness of the place where usually is located the brain.

It goes without saying that right after the phantasmal night chat with Woods or VeldKamp (?) I went to the NPPA's guestbook and left there a message recommending a refreshment of geography knowledge to my adversary and expressing my doubts about the IQ of "IT" (I called my night visitor like this as I wasn't sure of "IT's" sex, nor of "IT's" belonging to human race (just a little wink to Stephen King:)). Violent attacks and threats from "Anonymous Surfers" (pretending to be the REAL Indians) against my person started to appear regularly in the NPPA's guestbook since that moment on. Combined with the fact that the FBI has got an outlet in the same city where I live, this game had somehow lost its original hilarious touch for me and I decided to take it in serious... But there were also pleasant moments in this story, when a few Native Americans stood up for me on the pages of the NPPA's shamebook and when I discovered in my English site's guestbook a note from Grass Roots Oyate from the Pine Ridge rez, where the events leading to Peltier's imprisonment had taken place, thanking for my support to their brother Leonard 

I wrote an article describing the above mentioned events and posted it on the Czech web e-zine, where I contribute regularly. I called my readers to sign Peltier's petition in order to demonstrate their despise for that mean individuum from my chat, asking them to stand by me and expressing my hope that finding Czech signatures under Leonard's petition would make "IT" to have a good look on a map to check where actually is located that damned Czech Republic.

At any case I couldn't suspect the way this story was going to turn in the following days....
